Text For Citation: 01 Item/Group: 003 Hazard:
29 CFR 1910.151(c):Where employees were exposed to injurious corrosive materials, suitable facilities for quick drenching or flushing of the eyes and body were not provided within the work area for immediate emergency use: 865 Quaker Highway Uxbridge, MA 01569: On or about May 13, 2024, and continuing after for multiple days, the employer did not ensure facilities for quick drenching or flushing of the eyes and body were kept in working order to provide immediate emergency use to employees exposed to injurious corrosive chemicals. Although the Area Office held a conference with the employer prior to issuing this citation and the others now being issued in this inspection, the issuance of these citations does not represent the end of the inspection. The inspection is still open, due to the employer's failure to comply with the subpoenas that OSHA issued and served during the inspection. The Acting Secretary of Labor has filed a petition for subpoena enforcement in the U.S. District Court of Massachusetts, as part of which the Asking Secretary has asked that the statute of limitations for OSHA to issue citations be tolled.
