29 CFR 1910.134(d)(1)(iii): The employer did not identify and evaluate the respiratory hazard(s) in the workplace; including a reasonable estimate of employee exposures to respiratory hazards and identification of the contaminant's chemical state and physical form: (a) 3502 River Point Parkway, Sheridan, CO 80110: On or about April 20, 2024, employees were exposed to carbon dioxide released from dry ice when entering the walk-in freezer to retrieve food products in that, the employer did not evaluate the carbon dioxide hazard in this area. Exposure to carbon dioxide in enclosed spaces may result in health effects including, but not limited to, increased heart rate, breathing difficulty, loss of consciousness, and asphyxiation.
