29 CFR 1910.305(g)(1)(iv)(A): Flexible cords and/or cables were used as a substitute for the fixed wiring of a structure: At a worksite located at 4722 Pear Street, St. Joseph, MO: Employees were exposed to fire and electrical shock hazards. This was last demonstrated on or about May 2, 2024, and at times prior to when flexible cords and or cables (extension cords) were being used by employees to provide power to equipment as a substitute for fixed wiring. A yellow extension cord was being used to power a (Liberty Pump) sump pump. The extension cord was affixed to the structure of the building and being used in lieu of permeant wiring.
