29 CFR 1910.135(a)(1): The employer did not ensure that each affected employee wear a protective helmet when working in areas where there is a potential for injury to the head from falling objects: a) Worksite: 15 Salem Way, Glen Head, NY 11545 - An employee was not wearing a protective helmet when working near energized power lines and tree limbs which he was cutting, exposing the employee to being electrocuted and struck by overhead tree limbs; on or about 04/19/24. b) Worksite: 15 Salem Way, Glen Head, NY 11545 - An employee was not wearing a protective helmet when working directly below overhead tree trimming, exposing the employee to being struck by falling tree limbs; on or about 04/19/24. Note: The employer is required to submit abatement certification for this item in accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19.
