29 CFR 1910.36(b)(1): At least two exit routes were not available in the workplace to permit prompt evacuation of employees and other building occupants during an emergency, except as allowed in paragraph (b)(3) of this section. The exit routes must be located as far away as practical from each other so that if one exit route is blocked by fire or smoke, employees can evacuate using the second exit route: On or about April 23, 2024, the employer failed to ensure there were two exit routes available to employees working in the warehouse. The single available exit discharge point is in the loading dock area the second exit located in the North East Corner of the warehouse was locked from the inside and blocked on the outside.
