29 CFR 1926.1053(b)(1): Where portable ladders were used for access to an upper landing surface and the ladder's length allows, the ladder side rails did not extend at least 3 feet (.9 m) above the upper landing surface being accessed: (a) On or about April 16, 2024, located at 1407 Mulberry Street, Hartford, WI 53027, the employer did not ensure the portable extension ladder used by employees to access the roof of the residential home extended at least three feet above the upper landing, exposing employees to a fall hazard of approximately nine and a half feet. Juan Carlos Alvarez Govea DBA JC Roofing Contractor LLC was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard, which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1607684, citation number 1, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on October 19, 2022, with respect to a workplace located at 2700 Golf Road, Delafield, WI 53018.
