29 CFR 1910.140(c)(20): The employer did not ensure that ropes, belts, lanyards, lifelines, and harnesses used for personal fall protection are protected from being cut, abraded, melted, or otherwise damaged. Location: 95 Taylortown Rd., Montville, NJ 07045. a) The employer failed to provide a second means of fall protection to an employee engaged in tree trimming activities, and that a climber was using a chainsaw in a tree while a work positioning lanyard (arborist flip line) as the only means of fall protection: a main climbing line was not also used. Violation occurred on or about April 4, 2024.
