Text For Citation: 01 Item/Group: 003 Hazard:
29 CFR 1910.133(a)(1):Protective eye equipment was not required where there was a reasonable probability of injury that could be prevented by such equipment: (a) On or about March 21, 2024 the employer did not ensure that each affected employee used appropriate eye protection while engaged in nailing activities, such as using a pneumatic nail to build staircases. Employees were exposed to eye injuries from flying particles. Abatement certification is required of this item in accordance with the requirements of 29 CFR 1903.19(d).
