29 CFR 1910.95(k)(1): The employer shall train each employee who is exposed to noise at or above an 8-hour time weighted average of 85 decibels in accordance with the requirements of this section. The employer shall institute a training program and ensure employee participation in the program. On or about March 20, 2024, the employer failed to implement an occupational noise training program for employees exposed to noise hazards while working on presses such as 491, 386, and 192 and the cold forming, the green machine, and the big line during their 8-hour shifts. Employees were exposed to occupational noise between 86.9 - 91.8 dBA for an 8-hour time-weighted average.
