29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1): One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks: a) Mazak 1, Main Shop: On or about March 14, 2024, employees were exposed to ingoing nip points due to a stand mount belt sander that was missing the main side guard. b) Hardinge 4, Main Shop: On or about March 14, 2024, employees were exposed to ingoing nip points due to a table-mounted belt sander that was missing a guard for the bottom motor flywheel. c) Ganesh 1&2, Main Shop: On or about March 14, 2024, employees were exposed to ingoing nip points due to a table-mounted belt sander that was missing a guard for the bottom motor flywheel. d) Turning Center, Main Shop: On or about March 14, 2024, employees were exposed to ingoing nip points due to a table-mounted belt sander that was missing a guard for the bottom motor flywheel. e) Mazak 1, Main Shop: On or about March 14, 2024, employees were exposed to the point of operation while deburring parts on a stand-mounted drill press. f) Mazak 3, Main Shop: On or about March 14, 2024, employees were exposed to the point of operation while deburring parts on a stand-mounted drill press. g) Ganesh 1 &2, Main Shop: On or about March 14, 2024, employees were exposed to the point of operation while deburring parts on a stand-mounted drill press. h) Turning Area, Main Shop: On or about March 14, 2024, employees were exposed to the point of operation while deburring parts on a stand-mounted drill press.
