29 CFR 1910.138(a): The employer did not select and require employee(s) to use appropriate hand protection when employees' hands were exposed to hazards such as those from skin absorption of harmful substances: a) On or about March 13, 2024, and at time prior thereto, EPTD/Stampcoat press areas; employee(s) used a highly corrosive chemical (Degreez 6) without proper hand protection while using it to clean the ram, die and bed of the punch press(es). b) On or about March 13, 2024, and at time prior thereto, in the pre-treatment area; employee(s) used a highly corrosive chemical (PH UP) without proper hand protection while using it to pre-treat the water's PH balance.
