29 CFR 1910.184(d):Sling(s), fastenings and attachments were not inspected by a competent person each day, before being used, for damage or defects: a) Strobic Building - The employer did not have the competent person inspect synthetic nylon slings each day prior to their use. Employees were allowed to use damaged slings, thus exposing the employees to struck-by and caught-in-between hazards. This condition was observed on or about January 4, 2024. NOTE: THE EMPLOYER IS REQUIRED TO SUBMIT ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION FOR THIS ITEM. FAILURE TO COMPLY WILL RESULT IN AN ADDITIONAL PENALTY OF $1000.00 IN ACCORDANCE WITH 29 CFR 1903.19.
