29 CFR 1910.178(q)(7): Industrial trucks were not examined before being placed in service: (a) On or before 12/1/2023 the employer did not ensure that the electric walk-behind forklifts were inspected at the beginning of each shift. This condition exposed employees to struck-by and falling object hazards. Trader Joe's East Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1910.178(q)(7), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1670362, citation number 1, item number 1, and was affirmed as a final order on 10/23/2023, with respect to a workplace located at 87 Marginal Way Portland, ME 04101.
