29 CFR 1926.1053(b)(1): Where portable ladders were used for access to upper landing surfaces, the ladder side rails did not extend at least 3 feet (.9 m) above the upper landing surface to which the ladders were used to gain access. a) 119 Legion Street, Pompton Lakes NJ: Employees engaged in roofing activities on a 9-10 on 12 pitch were exposed to fall hazards while using a portable extension ladder whose side rails did not extend 3ft above the upper landing surface. Condition observed on or about 11/28/2023.
