29 CFR 1926.502(d)(6)(i): Snaphooks were engaged directly to webbing, rope or wire rope; a) On or about 11/23/2023 at the southeast side of the building; employees were replacing the roof of a repurposed church building. Employees were using a personal fall arrest system with the snaphook end of a vertical lifeline rope wrapped around a rafter, then connected back to the lanyard rope. The snaphook was not designed for use in this application and could become disengaged in a fall. Employees were exposed to a fall of approximately 50 feet. NO ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION REQUIRED
