29 CFR 1926.1053(b)(1): Where portable ladders were used for access to an upper landing surface and the ladder's length allows, the ladder side rails did not extend at least 3 feet (.9 m) above the upper landing surface being accessed: a- 8 Penelope Lane, Middletown NJ: Workers were exposed to fall hazards, in excess of 12 feet 1 inch to the ground surface below, when accessing and egressing a residential structure's pitched porch roof using an fiberglass ladder whose siderails did not extend at least 3 feet above the landing surface being accessing. Condition observed on or about 11/09/23.
