29 CFR 1910.66(i)(1)(iv): Written work procedures for the operation, safe use, and inspection of working platforms were not provided for employee training. Pictorial methods of instruction, were not used, in lieu of written work procedures, if employee communication is improved using this method. a.) Suspension Span, South Channel Bridge, International Bridge Road, Massena, NY 13662, on or about 10/20/2023: Employees were completing inspection activities on a Liftsafe Engineering & Service Group Maintenane Traveller and were exposed to hazards including, but not limited to, crush-by, struck-by, caught-in, pinch, fall, and high noise exposures during bridge inspection activities. The employer had not developed any written work procedures nor provided any training on these hazards to employees on the safe use of the traveller work platform.
