29 CFR 1926.1053(b)(1): Portable ladders were used for access to an upper landing surface and the ladder side rails did not extend at least 3 feet (.9 m) above the upper landing surface to which the ladder was used to gain access: At the jobsites located at 2005 W Dennis Ave, Olathe, Kansas, employees engaged in residential framing activities were exposed to falls from approximately 10 feet from the roof to the ground below, in that the aluminum ladder used to access the roof did not extend at least 3 feet above the eave of the roof. The Marco Construction, LLC. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1926.1053(b)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1589008, citation number 1 item number 2a and was affirmed as a final order on 06-29-2022, with respect to a workplace located at 2509 177th St., Stilwell, KS.
