29 CFR 1910.132(d)(1): The employer did not assess the workplace to determine if hazards were present, or were likely to be present, which necessitated the use of personal protective equipment (PPE). If such hazards were present, or likely to be present, the employer did not: (i) Select, and have each affected employee use, the types of PPE that would protect the affected employee from the hazards identified in the hazard assessment; (ii) Communicate selection decisions to each affected employee; and (iii) Select PPE that properly fit each affected employee: a) Outside right of the building, on or about October 2, 2023, and at times prior, the employer exposed employees to chemical burns, in that the employer did not provide appropriate personal protection equipment (PPE) for the body when changing propane tanks.
