29 CFR 1915.507(b)(1): The portable fire extinguishers and hose systems were not selected, installed, inspected, maintained, and tested by the employer according to NFPA 10-2002 Standard for Portable Fire Extinguishers: On or about September 6, 2023, on the dry dock, portable fire extinguishers for employee use were not maintained in an operable condition and mounted in designated areas. a) On or about September 6, 2023, a fire extinguisher without charge was on the ground near the supervisor's office. b) On or about September 6, 2023, a fire extinguisher was near the ice machine outside employee breakroom.
