29 CFR 1910.28(b)(6)(ii):(ii) Each employee 4 feet (1.2 m) or more above dangerous equipment must be protected from falling by one or more of the following: 1910.28(b)(6)(ii)(A) Guardrail systems; 1910.28(b)(6)(ii)(B) Safety net systems; 1910.28(b)(6)(ii)(C) Travel restraint systems; or 1910.28(b)(6)(ii)(D) Personal fall arrest systems. a. Located at the Case Farms Processing, Inc., Winesburg OH facility: On or about September 8, 2023, located in the Mechanical Separated Chicken (MSC) area, a sanitation employee, performing cleaning activities, was standing on the edge of the industrial mixing equipment without protection to prevent the employee from falling into the rotating mixing auger section of the equipment from a height of approximately 7 feet.
