29 CFR 1926.102(a)(1): The employer shall ensure that each affected employee uses appropriate eye or face protection when exposed to eye or face hazards from flying particles, molten metal, liquid chemicals, acids or caustic liquids, chemical gases or vapors, or potentially injurious light radiation. a. Located at the job site located at 1100 Mediterranean Avenue, Columbus, Ohio: On or about June 28, 2023, and at times prior, employees operated hand and power tools such as, but not limited to, portable drills and grinders, to perform demolition tasks on the roof and interior of the existing building without utilizing eye protection measures. Employees were thereby exposed to struck-by hazards.
