29 CFR 1926.1053(b)(1): Portable ladders were used for access to an upper landing surface and the ladder side rails did not extend at least 3 feet (.9 m) above the upper landing surface to which the ladder was used to gain access: a) At 1 Old Ferry Rd, Shalimar FL. 32579: On or about June 7, 2023 and at times prior; the employer allowed his employees to use extension ladders to gain access to the roof and the rails of the ladders did not extend at least three feet above the roof landing to provide safe access exposing his employees to a fall hazard of up to 9 feet to the ground below. Best Construction AAA LLC was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 1926.1053(b)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1585450, citation number 1, item number 3 and was affirmed as a final order on 06/16/22, with respect to a workplace located at 4 9th Ave E, Shalimar, Florida.
