Text For Citation: 01 Item/Group: 003 Hazard:
29 CFR 1910.1200(h)(1): Employers did not provide employees with effective information and training on hazardous chemicals in their work area at the time of their initial assignment, and whenever a new physical or health hazard the employees had not previously been trained about was introduced into their work area and chemical-specific information was not always available through labels and material safety data sheets. The employer is failing to protect employees from serious injury from hazards associated with working with various chemicals in their workplace. Employees had not received training on chemical hazards, which employees were reasonably foreseeable to come into contact with during their ordinary course of work. This was most recently documented on June 8, 2023, at a worksite located at 211 SE Hamblen Rd, Lees Summit, Missouri.
