Text For Citation: 01 Item/Group: 003 Hazard:
29 CFR 1910.30(a)(1):(a) Fall hazards. (1) Before any employee is exposed to a fall hazard, the employer must provide training for each employee who uses personal fall protection systems or who is required to be trained as specified elsewhere in this subpart. Employers must ensure employees are trained in the requirements of this paragraph on or before May 17, 2017. a) On May 5, 2023, the employer failed to train the employees to recognize the hazards of falling and the procedures to be followed to minimize these hazards, as a result, an employee was exposed to a potential fall hazard of 9 feet while working near the edge of the low-slope commercial roof without the use of a fall protection system.
