29 CFR 1926.1053(b)(1): When portable ladders were used for access to an upper landing surface, the ladder side rails did not extend at least 3 feet above the upper landing surface to which the ladder was used to gain access: a) Lot 1555 of the Plantation Lakes Development in, Millsboro, DE 19966: On or about May 12, 2023, employees used ladders that did not extend at least 3 feet above the upper landing to access the upper levels of a home, exposing them to fall hazards approximately 30 feet above the ground. Fast Framing, LLC. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 1926.1053(b)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1604656, citation number 1, item number 3a and was affirmed as a final order on March 2, 2023, with respect to a workplace located at Lot 1382 Wright Way, Millsboro, DE 19966.
