29 CFR 1910.178(p)(1):Powered industrial truck(s) found to be in need of repair, defective, or in any way unsafe had not been taken out of service until restored to safe operating condition(s). On or about May 11th, 2023, two employees were exposed to struck-by or crushing hazards during the operation of a Yale propane forklift with a non-functional horn and broken seatbelt mechanism housing. Abatement certification is required for this item in accordance with the requirements of 29 CFR 1903.19(c).
