29 CFR 1926.1053(b)(1):Where portable ladders were used for access to an upper landing surface and the ladder's length allows, the ladder side rails did not extend at least 3 feet (.9 m) above the upper landing surface being accessed. The employer is failing to protect employees from fall hazards. This was most recently documented on or about May 3rd, 2023, at 18683 Oakmont Drive, Omaha, Nebraska 68136. Two employees were observed using an extension ladder that did not extend 3 feet above the upped landing surface. Francisco Esquivel Roofing was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1926.1053(b)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1598343, citation number 3, item number 2 and was affirmed as a final order on August 18th 2022, with respect to a workplace located at 4513 South 215th Ave, Elkhorn, Nebraska. Francisco Esquivel Roofing was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1926.1053(b)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1335198, citation number 1, item number 2 and was affirmed as a final order on January 16, 2019, with respect to a workplace located at Lot 33 of the Granite Falls North Subdivision on Cove Hollow Cir, Papillion, NE 68046.
