29 CFR 1926.850(a): An engineering survey was not performed and put into writing by a competent person to determine the condition of framing, floors and walls and the possibility of unplanned collapse of any portion of the structure prior to permitting employees to start demolition operations. (a) At the back yard of a residence located at 403 Roy Bell Rd. Jackson, GA: On or about March 6, 2023, employees engaged in demolition operations of a barn, were exposed to a struck-by and crushing hazard, in that an engineering survey of the framing, floors and walls and the possibility of unplanned collapse of any portion of the structure was not conducted prior to permitting employees to start demolition operations.
