29 CFR 1926.1053(b)(1):Portable ladders were used for access to an upper landing surface and the ladder side rails did not extend at least 3 feet (.9 m) above the upper landing surface to which the ladder was used to gain access: On or about April 13, 2023, employees were exposed to fall hazards greater than 6 feet, while accessing and exiting the roof via an extension ladder that only extended 1.5 feet above the upper landing surface of the roof, on a residential construction site in Peoria, Illinois. JUAN PABLO RAMIREZ WAS PREVIOUSLY CITED FOR A VIOLATION OF THIS OCCUPATIONAL SAFETY AND HEALTH STANDARD 29 CFR 1926.1053(b)(1), WHICH WAS CONTAINED IN OSHA INSPECTION NUMBER 1615303, CITATION NUMBER 1, ITEM NUMBER 3, AND WAS AFFIRMED AS A FINAL ORDER ON NOVEMBER 15, 2022, WITH RESPECT TO A WORKPLACE LOCATED AT 1339 WOODSIDE DRIVE, DUNLAP IL 61525.
