Text For Citation: 01 Item/Group: 003 Hazard:
29 CFR 1910.1200(h)(1): Employees were not provided effective information and training on hazardous chemicals in their work area at the time of their initial assignment and whenever a new hazard that the employees had not been previously trained about was introduced into their work area: (a) On or about April 12, 2023, and at times prior employees were exposed to hazardous chemicals in the workplace and were not trained on the hazards, precautions and proper response to exposures. Employees were exposed to at least but not limited to Trolox acid (skin corrosive, eye damage, respiratory organ single exposure toxicity) and PC-992 lubricating oil (serious eye damage, aspiration toxicity) without training. This condition exposed the employee to chemical health hazards.
