29 CFR 1910.333(c)(3)(i)(A)(1): When an unqualified person was working in an elevated position near overhead lines with voltages to ground rated at 50 kV or below, the location was not such that the person and the longest conductive object he or she could contact came closer to any unguarded, energized overhead line than the following distances: (1) For voltages to ground voltages 50kV or below. On or about February 24, 2023, and at times prior thereto, at the jobsite, employees trimming branches with an aluminum pole/chain saw at a residential jobsite made contact with 7,400-volt overhead powerlines. Exposing employees to the hazards of electrocution, severe burns and electric shock.
