29 CFR 1926.760(a)(1): Each employee engaged in a steel erection activity who is on a walking/working surface with an unprotected side or edge more than 15 feet (4.6 m) above a lower level was not protected from fall hazards by guardrail systems, safety net systems, personal fall arrest systems, positioning device systems, or fall restraint systems. a) AAJ Construction Inc. On or about March 1, 2023 at the address of 3301 McLane Dr. Findlay, OH 45840: The employer did not ensure employees were protected from hazards associated with falls while working atop a steel frame structure. Eight employees performing steel erection work activities (installing standing seam metal roof) were exposed to fall hazards of 18 feet or greater to the ground below. AAJ Construction Inc was previously cited for a violation of this Occupational Safety and Health Standard 1926.760(a)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1569865, citation number 1, item number 1b and was affirmed as a final order on March 8, 2022, with respect to a workplace located at 3725 Malcolm Drive, Montgomery, AL 36116.
