Text For Citation: 01 Item/Group: 003 Hazard:
29 CFR 1910.157(c)(1): Portable fire extinguishers were not mounted, located, and identified so that they were readily accessible without subjecting the employees to injuries: (a) The employer fails to ensure effective measures to prevent fire hazards as demonstrated on or about February 7, 2023, at 386 Main Avenue West, Rolla, ND, where the employer-provided portable fire extinguishers, an extinguisher on the sales floor was blocked, not mounted, and not readily accessible. Dollar General Corporation was previously cited for a serious violation of this occupational safety and health standard, 29 CFR1910.157(c)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1461290, citation number 1, item number 3, and was affirmed as a final order on August 31, 2020, with respect to a workplace located at 1415 Ellis Avenue, Jackson, MS.
