29 CFR 1910.22(a)(1): The employer did not ensure that all places of employment, passageways, storerooms, service rooms, and walking-working surfaces are kept in a clean, orderly, and sanitary condition. a. Doorway - On or about February 2, 2023, employees were exposed to slips and falls due to oil being spilled on the floor from the transfer drums that had not been cleaned up. b. ShotPeen - On or about February 2, 2023, employees were exposed to slips and falls due to shotpeen balls accumulated on the floor near the conveyors and the blast booth. c. Shotpeen Dust Collector - On or about February 2, 2023, employees were exposed to fire and explosion hazards from the accumulation of fugitive dust with a kst of 13.71 bar*meter/sec in the shotpeen dust collection area. Abatement certification required within 10 days after abatement date. The certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, date and method of abatement, and states employees and their representatives were informed of this abatement.
