Text For Citation: 01 Item/Group: 003 Hazard:
29 CFR 1926.1053(b)(1):Where portable ladders were used for access to an upper landing surface and the ladder's length allows, the ladder side rails did not extend at least 3 feet (.9 m) above the upper landing surface being accessed: a) At 1001 East Haven Blvd, Lot 360, Pooler, GA 31322, on or about January 13, 2022, the employer exposed employees to fall hazards, in that the employer failed to ensure ladders, used by employees to access the roof, were positioned so that they extended at least three feet above the landing surface. J. COV Roofing, LLC was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1926.20(b)(2), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1560796, citation number 1, item number 3, and was affirmed as a final order on May 4, 2022, with respect to a workplace located at 695 Waterways Parkway South, Richmond Hill, GA 31324.
