29 CFR 1926.55(a)(2): An employee(s) was exposed to substance(s) with a permissible exposure limit not preceded by (C) at concentrations above that specified in Table 1 of �1926.55 for that substance(s): (a) On or about November 9, 2022, at the Dry Bayou crossing beneath the Bayou Meta Canal project, an employee operating a dewatering pump inside of a 54-inch diameter culvert was exposed to carbon monoxide (CO) at an 8-hour time-weighted average (TWA) of 288.9 ppm CO, over 13 times the OSHA permissible exposure limit (PEL) of 50 ppm CO, during a 330 minute occupational exposure of 975.7 ppm CO. The percent (%) carboxyhemoglobin in the employee's blood reached a calculated peak level of 60.2%.
