Text For Citation: 01 Item/Group: 003 Hazard:
29 CFR 1910.106(e)(6)(ii): Category 1 or 2 flammable liquids, or Category 3 flammable liquids with a flashpoint below 100 degree F (37.8 degree C), were dispensed into containers without the containers being electrically interconnected: a) Maaco - On or about September 9, 2022, employees were dispensing R7K115 Lacquer Thinner, a Category 2 Flammable liquid, from a 55 gallon drum to smaller containers. The 55 gallon container itself was not grounded, nor were the employees bonding the 55 gallon container to the smaller container being dispensed into. Abatement certification required within 10 days after abatement date. The certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, date and method of abatement, and states that employees and their representatives were informed of this abatement.
