29 CFR 1910.134(k): Training and information. This paragraph requires the employer to provide effective training to employees who are required to use respirators. The training must be comprehensive, understandable, and recur annually, and more often if necessary. This paragraph also requires the employer to provide the basic information on respirators in Appendix D of this section to employees who wear respirators when not required by this section or by the employer to do so. a) 72 Michigan Avenue Paterson, NJ - Dip Tank Area: Employees are required to wear half face elastomeric respirators while they dip metallic pieces into dip tanks filled with corrosive electro plating solution. The employer did not provide effective training to employees who are required to wear half face elastomeric respirators on or about July 29, 2022. TRB-Andarn Electro Services Corporation was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1910.134(k), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1484092, citation number 1, item number 7 and was affirmed as a final order on February 16, 2021, with respect to a workplace located at 72 Michigan Avenue Paterson, NJ 07543.
