29 CFR 1926.1053(b)(1):Where portable ladders were used for access to an upper landing surface and the ladder's length allows, the ladder side rails did not extend at least 3 feet (.9 m) above the upper landing surface being accessed: a) Victor Blanco. On or about June 1, 2022, at the address of 4839 Westwind's Ave. Port Clinton, OH 43452: The employer did not ensure employees using aluminum ladder had their side rails extended at least three feet above the landing surface. Two employees were exposed to fall hazards while using ladder to access a two-story residential structure with a roof eave height of 11 feet from ground below. Victor Blanco was previously cited for a violation of this Occupational Safety and Health Standard 1926.1053(b)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1460356, citation number 1, item number 2 and was affirmed as a final order on March 20, 2020, with respect to a workplace located at Tradewinds Dr., Catawba, OH 43010.
