29 CFR 1910.101(b): Cylinders of compressed gas are not property supported to prevent it from being knocked over: a) The employer fails to ensure effective measures to secure cylinders of compressed gas, as demonstrated on or about May 23, 2022, and times prior, in the main store front area, where employees assist and check out customers. One of the cylinders of compressed gas was not secured and was observed standing upright. Family Dollar Stores, Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this Occupational Safety and Health Standard 29 CFR 1910.101(b) which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1480377, Citation number 3, Item number 1, and was affirmed as a final order on May 24, 2021, with respect to a workplace located at 181 Straight Street Patterson, NJ 07501. Family Dollar Stores. Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this Occupational Safety and Health Standard 29 CFR 1910.101(b) which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1480368, citation number 3, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on May 17, 2021, with respect to a workplace located at 550 Getty Avenue, Clifton, NJ 07011. To abate this hazard in the future, the employer must ensure that all cylinders of compressed gas are secured to prevent falling over.
