29 CFR 1910.133(a)(1): The employer did not ensure that each affected employee used appropriate eye or face protection when exposed to eye or face hazards from flying particles, molten metal, liquid chemicals, acids or caustic liquids, chemical gases or vapors, or potentially injurious light radiation. On or about May 13, 2022, the employer at 2421 Morral Kirkpatrick Road in Morral, Ohio failed to ensure that employees inside of the Wash Bay Area who were responsible for cleaning and spraying operations using chemical products that contain sodium hydroxide wore personal protective equipment including but not limited to chemical safety goggles or equivalent safety eyewear to protect employees exposed to potential chemical burns and serious eye injuries.
