29 CFR 1910.147(c)(1):The employer did not establish a program consisting of an energy control procedure, employee training and periodic inspections to ensure that before any employee performed any servicing or maintenance on a machine or equipment where the unexpected energizing, startup or release of stored energy could occur and cause injury, the machine or equipment shall be isolated from the energy source and rendered inoperative. On or about May 3, 2022 and times prior to, the employer did not establish a program for energy control that contained machine specific procedures, employee training records or periodic inspections in order to train and protect employees from unexpected releases of energy while performing maintenance and troubleshooting operations on the following machines: a) Five binders used for compression of truck hood components in the Trim and Grind area of the facility; b) Robot used to drill and modify large fiberglass hood components in the Trim and Grind area of the facility; c) Robot used to modify internal plastic pieces of the trucks in the Vacuum Building; d) Three Ovens used in Vacuum Building.
