29 CFR 1910.107(c)(5): Electrical equipment in spraying areas whereon deposits of combustible residues may readily accumulate were not approved for locations containing both deposits of readily ignitable residue and explosive vapors: a) Back Spraying Building: On or about 4/20/2022 and thereafter, electrical equipment, including but not limited to, outlets, light switches, extension cords, and open junction boxes, were coated with overspray from flammable paints and were not rated for the area. NOTE: IN ADDITION TO ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION, THE EMPLOYER IS REQUIRED TO SUBMIT ABATEMENT DOCUMENTATION FOR THIS ITEM. FAILURE TO COMPLY WILL RESULT IN AN ADDITIONAL PENALTY OF $1000.00 IN ACCORDANCE WITH 29 CFR 1903.19.
