29 CFR 1910.147(c)(7)(i)(A):Each authorized employee shall receive training in the recognition of applicable hazardous energy sources, the type and magnitude of the energy available in the workplace, and the methods and means necessary for energy isolation and control. a. On or about February 22, 2022, machine operators and the assistant manager working in the Machining department had not received lockout/tagout (control of hazardous energy) training as authorized employees. Machining department employees performed required duties that are covered by this part on a regular basis . During tool changes and cleaning, Machining department employees have have potential exposure to the unexepected energization of milling machines tools and tool apparatus which involve caught-in, struck-by and impalement hazards.
