29 CFR 1910.1200(h)(1):Employees were not provided effective information and training on hazardous chemicals in their work area at the time of their initial assignment and whenever a new hazard that the employees had not been previously trained about was introduced into their work area: On or about February 7, 2022, the employer did not adequately train employees on the chemical hazards present in their workplace. Employees were exposed to hazards associated with the usage of Ethanol, such as the flammability properties when exposed to an ignition source, such as cutting on a container that had previously contained liquid methanol in the maintenance area, which exposes employees to fire and explosion hazards.
