29 CFR 1910.29(b)(13)(i) The guardrail system opening used around holes that serve as points of access (such as ladderways), did not have a self-closing gate that slides or swings away from the hole, and was not equipped with a top rail and midrail or equivalent intermediate member that met the requirements in paragraph (b) of this section: a) Kanta Products Inc, Block Machine Raised Hopper Platform: On or about November 29, 2021 and at times prior, employees were exposed to fall hazards of approximately 10 feet 2 inches to the ground below while accessing and egressing the ladder to clean the hopper on the block machine. b) Kanta Products Inc, South Interior Platform of Screener Building: On or about November 29, 2021 and at times prior, employees were exposed to fall hazards of approximately 10 feet to the ground below while accessing and egressing the ladder to conduct maintenance in the screener building such as, but not limited to: belt changing, screen changing, and greasing.
