29 CFR 1910.147(c)(6)(i): The employer did not conduct a periodic inspection of the energy control procedure at least annually to ensure that the procedure and the requirement of this standard were being followed: On or before November 23, 2021, periodic inspections of the company's energy control procedures were not completed at least annually to ensure that any changes to the existing procedures and/or deficiencies were identified. The lack of inspections for lockout procedures applies to the following equipment: a) The lockout procedure for the cut-up and sawmill line was missing the following: the purpose and scope of the procedure, types and magnitude of the energy sources to be render safe, and the steps to take to ensure that lockout was successful before the start of any work activities. b) The lockout procedure for the planer line was missing the following: the purpose and scope of the procedure, types and magnitude of the energy sources to be render safe, and the steps to take to ensure that lockout was successful before the start of any work activities These conditions exposed employees to caught in/caught by, entanglement and amputation hazards from rotating parts.
