29 CFR 1910.146(c)(1): The employer shall evaluate the workplace to determine if any spaces are permit-required confined spaces: Workplace, 92 N. Main Street, Wharton, NJ The employer did not evaluate the workplace to determine if an under-floor vault is a permit-required confined space. Maintenance employees enter an under-floor vault to access the main wastewater discharge pipes and valves, approximately 10 feet by 10 feet in width and length and 5 feet in depth, to clean out debris screens on the 2 main wastewater lines that run through the vault. Violation occurred from November 23, 2021 to the present.
