29 CFR 1926.1053(b)(12): Ladders used where the employee or the ladder could contact exposed energized electrical equipment did not have nonconductive side rails: a. On or about October 25, 2021, at 545 Sutton Place, Longboat Key, Florida, employees who were unqualified persons were exposed to electrocution hazards when working from the ground below energized electrical power lines to erect an aluminum extension ladder that did not have nonconductive siderails to gain access to a roof-top and the ladder could contact exposed energized electrical power lines at 7,620-volts.
